This morning the verse on my calendar says:
“I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40
Those are the very words spoken by Christ Himself.
This Sunday our church will be celebrating an event they are calling – United in Love. They will be assembling baskets to go to each of the departments of public workers in Haverhill, MA. as an expression of gratitude & appreciation. Included in each of the baskets will be homemade cookies, thank you cards, prayer beads & other goodies.
As soon as I read this verse on my calendar, Sunday immediately came to my mind. May I remember that the kindnesses I do for others has greater significance than what meets my eyes. They are not temporal but have eternal significance as well. May my eyes stay focused on Him & the motivation of my heart stay pure.
I am praying that the turnout on Sunday will be great & that the community of Haverhill will be impacted for God in a HUGE way!!!
