Some days I feel blessed beyond belief. And today just happened to be one of those days. As a matter of fact, I am welling up with tears just writing about it. The blessing I received today was the joy & honor of taking Sophia to ballerina school. My heart is full this afternoon.

This is what I took to ballerina school this morning:

The excitement that Sophia expressed due to the fact that I was even taking her was most overwhelming. Putting those little feet into her ballet slippers touched me to my core.

Being instructed by her to sit outside on the bench so she could see me when she went to the potty was heartwarming. All she wanted & needed was to see me. Then she was all set to go back in to her class for the second half.

Just a glimpse of me is all she needed to go on. That is when it hit me

                                  That’s all I need as well. A glimpse of Him.

Perhaps that is how Christ is wanting that we feel towards Him. Just keeping our eyes on Him. Just getting that one glimpse to make it worth going on. That He would be enough for us.

Our time on this earth is so short. Surely we can do the hard thing & live for Him, persevering & enduring to the end, knowing that one day we shall see Him face to face.  Job got it right when he said:

“I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.  And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes””I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!” (Job 19:25-27).

An old hymn came to mind today, the words of which say:

 “It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life’s trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.”

                                  That’s all it takes, just that one look.
