Every now & then, God works in my life in a “theme”. The other day was one of those times. Let me explain…
A friend called for me to pray as her home had been robbed.
A few hours later, Lisa was texting pictures of a tree that came down at 4AM just outside of her bedroom window. Had it fallen during the afternoon, Sophia & her little friend & the moms could have been hurt or crushed by the weight of that tree. This is what it looked like afterwards….
It had taken out two balconies in their entirety & damaged a third. It is days like this that I am reminded of how our God protects us even during those times that we are unaware of it.
Psalm 91 is a beautiful psalm of protection.
“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” (verses 1-4 NLT).
“The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.” (verses 14-15 NLT).
We are further told in this psalm…
“For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.” (verse 11 NLT)
Oh, that we would remember that He is with us, He is faithful & He is protecting us.          Â
