This morning it is happening – it is snowing!!!! I had to take a few pictures to share…

OK, granted it is not a lot of snow. But it is snow. I think most of us, by now, were wondering if we would even see much of the white stuff at all this winter. And today it fell.

It fell in beauty.

          In peacefulness.

                   In purity.

                           In wonderment.

                                 In whiteness.

As I sat watching it, I was quickly reminded of a verse:

“Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.”  (Psalm 51:7 NLT).

That verse, the depth of its meaning, fell on me anew this morning.

                                              I am whiter than snow.

Seeing that the snow has just fallen, it is looking pretty white right now. But I am even whiter than that. I have been made whiter by the shed blood of Jesus that has taken away every sin in my life – past, present & yet to come. What a precious thought to me this morning!

Scripture reminds me this morning:

“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD.
“Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.”
(Isaiah 1:18 NLT).

When the Lord says, “Let’s settle this”, He is saying, “Go ahead, take me to court on this. I will win. My case is a done deal. Shut tight.”

I am not sure how this will hit anyone else, but this morning, I sit with tears streaming. I am most grateful that it is an air tight case. I am grateful that He has forgiven me. For it all. I am overwhelmed that He has made me His own.

I am whiter than snow.
