In her book, “You’re Already Amazing”, Holly Gerth writes this:

I believe the desire to know who we really are has been placed within us by the heart of heaven itself. God wants us to understand who he created us to be so that we can fulfill the purpose he has for our lives. (page 23).

Over the course of our lives, we often find ourselves wondering, “Who am I?”or “What am I here for?” Gerth raises an interesting thought….

Perhaps God wants us to ask those questions.

Perhaps in asking, we find the answers.

This morning I am reminded of this portion of Scripture:

“You will seek me & find me when you seek me with ALL your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13 NIV).

God wants us to seek Him. He wants us to come to Him with our questions. He is the One, the Only One who can answer the questions for us:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you & not to harm you, plans to give you hope & a future.”Â  (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV).

Today may we come before Him & ask our questions. May we seek Him & in Him find our answers. He is the One holding the plans.

The only requirement? Give Him all your heart.
