Let me just say…..It is tough to be a woman.
The journey of life includes such a range of emotions & experiences. And there is not a single stage in life that is left untouched.
Take the last year for instance. It has included….
- anticipating the birth of our second grandchild
- it being a high risk pregnancy
- an ultrasound that revealed possible trisomy 13
- and a cyst on the baby’s brain
- nightly lovanox shots
- then changed to 2X daily heparin shots
- a heart rate that spiked to 3X the normal rate
And this was all in the life on one pregnancy. And so today I find myself humbled to think about the faithfulness of God in the life of my family. Not only was Jocelyn born, but she was born totally healthy!!! It is days like this that my heart is overwhelmed with the goodness of God. It makes me want to sing out:
“Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!!!!
Praise Him all creatures here below,
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, & Holy Ghost.”
I cannot let today pass without thanking our God for His goodness & mercy in bringing Jocelyn into this world – beautiful & healthy. Looking into her sweet little face, I can only see the handiwork of my God displayed in complete & utter perfection. He truly does all things well!
