David prays the following for the people of Israel & for his son Solomon:

“O Lord, the God of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, make your people always want to obey you. See to it that their love for you never changes. See to it that their love for you never changes. Give my son Solomon the wholehearted desire to obey all your commands, laws, and decrees, and to do everything necessary to build this Temple, for which I have made these preparations.”                         (1 Chronicles 29:18, 19 NLT).

I read this & immediately thought, every parent should be praying for their children & asking God for the same. May we be faithful to pray:

  1. that our children always want to obey God. I love that it is a prayer that changes what they want to do.
  2. that their love for God never changes. Think about that. May our children ALWAYS love God, first & faithfully.
  3. that they would have wholehearted desire to obey Him. May their hearts be full out for God. May they posses an undivided heart.
  4. that they would do everything necessary to complete what He has for them to do in their lifetime.

Can we even imagine the power that would be unleashed in the lives of our kids if we prayed for them like this? Seriously. Today may we be faithful to pray for our children. May we be able to pray for other children that we know as well.

“The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power & produces wonderful results.”             (James 5:16b NLT).

Unleash power in the lives of your children & get ready to see wonderful results!
