Im-Maximizing-My-Mornings-300This has been another amazing week of looking at a portion of familiar Scripture and gaining a whole new perspective….

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. (Ephesians 2:8-9, NLT)

God, knowing that we would have a tendency to brag and try to take credit, offers us salvation through no doing of our own. We cannot brag on anyone but Him! Salvation is all His gift from start to finish. He offers us the gift, accepts us as His own, and then invites us to join Him in what He is doing. Truly amazing when we stop to absorb that into our thoughts and being.

“But God” being rich in mercy, loving us so deeply, gives us life.

Why?

So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he had done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2: 7, NLT)

Everything we do here and how we live, it all matters! God Himself will be pointing us out long after we are gone. Can we even imagine? The finger of God pointing at us because we will be examples of His grace and kindness. When life is hard, when the choices are difficult, remember that life is but a short time. Do the hard thing. For His glory because for all the future ages, He will be pointing us out.

Let’s do this thing called life and live it for Him. He is so worthy.
