“Beholding Him the wise men prostrated themselves before Him and presented their well-selected gifts: gold, speaking of the divine nature and righteousness; frankincense, suggesting the fragrance of His perfect human life, and myrrh, pointing forward to His sacrificial death.” (taken from Ironside Commentary on Matthew by H.A. May I, as well, behold Him and bring Him gifts: my whole heart, my whole mind and my whole soul.

When I stop long enough and behold…
His “divine nature and righteousness,”
“His perfect human life,”
and then “His sacrificial death”…
how can I do other than prostrate my self and lay before Him, as offering, my whole heart, mind, and soul?

I’ve always thought how glorious it would be for the visitors… not all that one night, but over and over again for at least a couple years. What a blessing for Mary and Joseph to be encouraged, reminded, rewarded. Thanks for the picture and the Words.
