It is amazing how our created world displays its Creator. Just the last few weeks, I have marveled at:

The whiteness of freshly fallen snow – crisp and clean.

The sound of the wind blowing through our yard – at times sounding like a freight train.

The gentleness of deer, standing so stately and gracefully.

The perfection of newly hatched finches – tiny and fluffy – coming from eggs the size of a fingertip.

The sunrise breaking through the trees.

Frozen rivers appearing to be suspended in motion.

“Some people, in order to discover God, read books. But there is a great book: the very appearance of created things. Look above you! Look below you! Read it. God, whom you want to discover, never wrote that book with ink. Instead He set before your eyes the things that He has made. Can you ask for a louder voice than that?” (St. Augustine)

Paul, in writing the book of Romans put it this way, “For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.” (Romans 1:20, NLT)

“Look above you! Look below you!”

What is He saying to you today?
