I recently had the opportunity to review the book, The Third Day – The Gospel of Luke Chapters 22-24. Having had children who enjoyed comic books, I found this to be a most interesting and enjoyable telling of the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus.
The book, written with a comic book format, is a short read of only 48 pages. It is a wonderful resource for teens and pre-teens as it will hold their attention and present the story of the Easter in a format which is understandable and entertaining, yet biblical in its account.
The pictures are well drawn making the illustrations easy to follow. The dialogue is from the HCSB making the language easy to for teens to relate. This is an excellent resource for both individual and youth group study. Parents should review the pictures for themselves as they may be intense for very young or impressionable children.
