As I continued in the Psalms this past week, I realized ever more deeply HE RESTORES FAITHFULLY. He brings us to a sound health in our body, soul, and spirit. Therefore, I will trust in His healing.

“Faithfully” means “true to one’s word; reliable; steady in allegiance; constant” (dictionary.com).

  • Psalm 6. There is such a contrast between confessed and unconfessed sin. Confession is good FOR us. It not only restores us in fellowship with God but brings us the assurance and the confidence that He is FOR us. “The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord will answer my plea.”
    (Psalm 6:9, NLT)
  • Psalm 3. “But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.” (Psalm 3:3, NLT) The title LORD, in this verse, addresses God as the Covenant keeping God. None of His promises will be broken. Not one. May that bring us encouragement wherever today may find us. He is our glory and the lifter of our head meaning, no matter what has happened to us – He restores honor to our lives. He holds our head up high. David trusted God to restore his crumbling life back to some semblance of purpose and God does this for us as well.
  • Psalm 51. “Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. Then I will teach your ways to rebels, and they will return to you.” (Psalm 51: 12-13, NLT) He restores the joy of salvation to us. The result of confession is not only for ourselves to be restored to fellowship with God but also for the benefit of others. We cannot teach someone else the truth unless we are truly living in the Truth.
  • Psalm 85. “Now restore us AGAIN, O God of our salvation” (Psalm 85:4, NLT).ƂĀ  “Won’t you revive us AGAIN, so your people can rejoice in you?”
(Psalm 85:6, NLT). We are in constant need of being restore and revived. How very grateful I am this morning that He restores and revives us – again and again and again.
  • Psalm 147. “He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds”
    (Psalm 147:3, NLT).
The Lord Himself tends to our wounds. He knows that wounds need binding and binding takes time and care.

“Jesus Christ is not my security against the storms of life, but He is my perfect security IN the storms. He has never promised me an easy passage, only a safe landing.” (taken from Streams in the Desert, March 31)

May we each continue to cling to His promises and land safely!!!
