Months ago, the words fell as if I had not ever heard them before ….
“No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” (Romans 8:37, NLT).
He never promised “these things” won’t happen in our lives. No, He said, “despite these things” we have victory. Overwhelming victory. One way or another through our Lord.
I read this prayer months ago and saved it to my desktop to read as needed. May I say… it was needed often. May this prayer, written by Rachel Wojnarowski, bless you as it has me.
Today I am joining … Give Me Grace and Sunday Stillness and Spiritual Sundays and Scripture & A Snapshot .
Thi prayer reminds of how I feel at the beginning of a school year. Will bookmark this for sure. Now it is summer vacation and time to relax and enjoy God’s goodness.
Michelle, I love how we all will relate to this prayer at varied times. Enjoy the summer!
I’ve been feeling overwhelmed lately, I’m frustrated about my problems and I don’t want to do anything anymore. I felt very dry, but then again, the Lord gave me hope to stand up again. That no matter how overwhelmed I am, God is the Overcomer and He can give me rest. Thank you for your prayer for the “Feeling Overwhelmed” it encouraged me to move on forward and never give up! God bless you
Grateful this prayer encouraged you. May you never give up as He is FOR you & will bring victory.
Amen! Joanne! Both whispering and shouting Amen!
Love it – we can whisper & shout Amen. He hears each one 🙂
love this “revolutionized from overwhelmed to overjoyed”. Thanks for sharing Joanne!
I did too, Lisha. May we saturate ourselves in His love. Blessings!
