“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you …”.
(2 Timothy 1:6, NKJV)
Stir me, dear God, to live for you in the very fullest sense, by the faith of Your dear Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Stir me, that I may step out of the apathy and indifference and lethargy that seek to overwhelm our modern society, in self-sufficiency and self-complacency. Stir me to move out into the exciting realm of faith, to see Jesus Christ at work through me in all the daily details of living. Give me the courage to believe and to act in faith.

Jo thanks for sharing this. I am crying out to the Lord saying “stir me”.
Me too, Marilyn.
Dr. Roseveare is one of my “book mentors.” Thanks for this inspiring quote! Blessings to you today!
I only heard of her recently when this book was recommended to me. This is such a beautiful & encouraging book.
Beautiful thoughts with a wonderful picture. Thanks for the encouragement to step out of our routine, normal, everyday stuff, and be stirred by the Father.
And that is so it, Holly. He needs to stir our souls or we will become complacent.
Ugh. I need some stirring up lately.
Lux, may He stir your soul as He knows exactly what you need. Blessings!
