“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up on the last day.” (John 6:44)
Every once in a while, we get a glimpse of all God has been weaving in and through our lives. One event suddenly connects to the other, like a count by number picture.
The dots begin to connect.
It is then that we see the activity of God in our lives, even when we couldn’t see Him, hear Him, or think He was possibly present.
And there He was – working His plan out for us, loving us, protecting us and leading the way for us. He knew exactly where He was bringing us.
Nothing which occurred was happenstance. It all had purpose and continues to have purpose as He unfolds His plan for our lives. He has been calling us to Himself every single day throughout our lives.
We need to believe that God was in our past. In that way, we will also believe He is in our future.
“Faith: belief that God can do miraculous good even with terrible failure.” (Beth Moore, Believing God)
May we look at where we are today, believing He was active in our past so that we will be filled with hope for our future. God is not confined by circumstances nor by time. Every hour and minute of our lives is under His control. He works all of it for our good and for His glory.
“You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in
your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.”
(Psalm 139:16, NLT)

Absolutely! enjoyed this short yet very powerful devotional.
I believe the Lord will do miracles, does miracles and is in the business of miracles.
Blessings friend,,,
How are you?
I am good, Ifeoma, thank you! May we live each day believing the promises in God’s Word.
Joanne, I so wish I could remember this when I’m in the middle of it! Our memories are so short sometimes but what you have said is true. God wastes nothing. No matter what I’m going through right now or where He has me, He is still using all of it to teach me, to mold me, to prepare me. Thanks for the reminder to count this is a blessing!
Holly, it is amazing the extent to which He wastes nothing. Even when we cannot see Him at work, He is busy weaving ALL the pieces together.
Joanne … trust me, I needed to read your heart-words just now. Thank you, thank you, for listening to His prompting.
Blessings to you …
I’ve been praying for you each day since you left this comment. May you see Him connect all your dots! Blessings!
Reblogged this on A Satisfied Spirit and commented:
Thought you all might enjoy this.
Thank you & blessings to you!
Joanne, I love this post…especially the connect-the-dots analogy…so true, I really believe in God’s sovereignty, there are no “accidents”…we can trust Him…truly all is grace…many blessings to you â¤ï¸
Beth, so often we can forget that He is busy weaving all the details together. His grace & mercy over our lives is complete & perfect.
So blessed to visit with you this morning, Joanne! Thank you for sharing such a powerful post! Peace and many blessings to you, Love! 🙂
Oh why do we doubt? Lord, help my unbelief! Short, sweet, and to the point.
Mary, I love that you added the prayer, “Lord, help my unbelief!” May we grow in our trust of our God & His ways!
Good post with great insight and wisdom.
I remember those follow the number puzzles and enjoyed discovering the answer. Yes, we do not always see the big picture but rest assured that God is working it out for His will and for our best. Thank you for sharing with us here at Tell me a Story.
Hazel, this morning I as I read your comment I am remembering how I always wondered what the puzzle would end up being as I was connecting the dots. Only when completed did it sit before me in beauty. So glad to join you each week!
