“As you enter the house of God, keep your ears open and your mouth shut … After all, God is in heaven, and you are here on earth. So let your words be few.” (Ecclesiastes 5:1-2, NLT)
Today I am joining … Still Saturday and Give Me Grace and Word of God Speak and Spiritual Sundays and Scripture & a Snapshot .
Oh, I really like this. I’ve often commented over the years that the churches we attended seemed to lack reverence in the sanctuary because of all the chatter.
Lovely Scripture with picture application.
Sometimes I find I so need to get there a few minutes early & settle my soul. Grateful you stopped here!
I have always been drawn to simplicity of the old churches, often in rural settings, supported by a scant few faithful parishioners. Your photos capture that charm and God’s words capture the sacred.
Me too, Lisa. The faithfulness of those attending always strikes me. Blessings!
Thank you. Truthful and filled with the Lord.
Praying you had a blessed Sabbath, Joanne!
Wise advice from the Teacher. I love old churches too – they remind me of the rich heritage of faith we have, and that God is always faithful to keep his promises.
Kym, earlier this morning I was reminded of the very thing – “that God is always faithful to keep his promises”. May we hold onto those truths we have been taught for they are an anchor for our souls. Blessings!
Simple words, but powerful truth! Thanks so much for sharing, Joanne! GOD bless you, beautiful friend! š
Thank you, Tai! Perhaps when our words are few, His words to us will be many š Blessings!
Love this!
Thank you for stopping here for a visit! Have a great week!
