Life will present challenges to us; and to each of us, those challenges will be at varied times, intensity, and experience.
Challenges (as defined by dictionary.com) is “a call or summons to engage in any contest, as of skill or strength; a call to fight, as a battle, a duel”.
As we face that which challenges us, may we realize the battle is unique to us. None exactly the same. There will be similarities but even our approach will reflect our individual personalities and quirks.
We should not minimize the struggle of another, for to them, their challenge is hard. To them, it is insurmountable, unyielding. Each day takes every ounce of their energy to press on and through.
It is easy to elevate our own difficulties over those of another. Instead we need to ask God for compassion, for eyes to see as He sees. He knows we are a frail and fractured people, but He sees us as victors, able to overcome in His strength.
May we encourage one another to trust Him in every situation. Let’s remember to ask this very same question:
“Is anything too hard for the Lord?” (Genesis 18:14, NLT)
Let’s encourage each other to believe – to believe God …
The only thing “too hard for the Lord” is our deliberate and continual disbelief in His love and power, and our ultimate rejection of His plans for us. Nothing is impossible for Jehovah to do for those who trust Him.
(Streams in the Desert, November 5, page 417)
We can navigate those uncharted waters as He leads the way through, He only asks us to trust Him. As we keep moving forward each day, in time, it becomes the very place we are eventually refreshed, renewed, and filled with a new purpose.
May we respond to the question,
“Nothing is too hard!”
Today I am joining … #SmallWonder and Playdates With God and Sharing His Beauty and #WordsWithWinter and Inspire Me Monday .
Courageous words — and I love their focus. It’s not because we’re awesome or competent or energetic. It’s the great God we serve who inspires our courage! Thanks, Joanne.
Michele, it has all to do with Him & nothing to do with us. So very true!
Nothing is too hard, nothing is impossible. So encouraging this morning. ♥
Some days we just need the reminder 🙂
“May we encourage one another to trust” – that word encourage is so important. Thank you for your words today, Joanne.
Kelly, it truly is! May we realize that as we encourage, we infuse courage into one another. So very needed in these days we live. Blessings!
Yikes! I often think that other people’s obstacles are small and they should just ‘get over them.’ Thank you for the reminder that it’s all in one’s perspective–what seems difficult fo rme may be easy for someone else–therefore, the opposite is also true! May we all remember this–and that NOTHING is too big for God :).
Anita, we so need to remember this or we will fail to encourage one another as we truly need. I am so very grateful that no matter the size of our burden, our God is able to take care of them all. Thank you for being so encouraging to us all! Blessings!
