The manner in which others pursue their dreams is intriguing.  The dream often begins with an idea that grows and develops; taking on a life of its own.

God has a plan for our lives and wonder of wonders, He calls us to join Him in all that He is doing. And yet, it behooves us to remember …

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, ” says the Lord.
And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so my ways are higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”
(Isaiah 55: 8-9, NLT)

His thoughts are nothing like ours and we can never fully understand His thoughts. People just do not act or think like God. It is that simple. God Almighty, Creator of all, is always in complete control and has a perspective beyond our comprehension. When we combine that with His grace and compassion, which extends to us His love and willingness to help us when we call on Him, we find His thoughts beyond any we could even imagine.

One of the definitions of the word “see” states > “to stay with to the end or until completion” (dictionary.com).

In his frustration to see life from God’s perspective, Solomon penned these words …

“God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11, NLT)

We see but a small part of the picture. God sees it all – from eternities past into eternity. We desire to know our place and purpose here in this world and yet we want to know it all counts for eternity. It is as if we are trapped by time, in the here and now, yet we are but sojourners passing through.

And so we hold onto the promise, that “God will complete the work He has begun” in our lives (Philippians 1:6) assured He does not leave any work unfinished.

I am limited. He is limitless.
I am weak. He is all powerful.
I am the created. He is the Creator.
I am finite. He is infinite.
