“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all …”
(2 Corinthians 5:14, NIV)
“Paul said that he was overpowered, subdued, and held as in a vise by “the love of Christ.” Very few of us really know what it means to be held in the grip of the love of God. We tend so often to be controlled by our own experience. The one thing that gripped Paul, to the exclusion of everything else, was the love of God. “The love of Christ compels us…” When you hear that coming from the life of a man or woman it is unmistakable. You will know that the Spirit of God is completely unhindered in that person’s life.”

Loved the picture and loved the Word of God. BTW, even though my blog is Caryjo, I was born in Portland, July 9, 1945, and my mom used her mom’s names, kind-off, and I was officially Carolyn Joanne. Mom always called me Joanne. When I married to a man at the Air Force Base here in Omaha, my Carolyn name was suddenly listed into me legally. Anyhow, that was 30 years ago, and now I’m both Carolyn [Drs., banks, and other official things], but my husband, friends, family, and most others automatically call me Joanne. Sorry to bug you, but thought you might smile/grin, too. Bless you…
Joanne, I loved reading the “history” behind the name 🙂 It’s always interesting to me how we all come to be named. And yes, you did make me grin 🙂 Always glad that you share your thoughts here!
