When I saw the opportunity to review another book illustrated by Catalina Echeverri, I jumped at the chance. Having already reviewed The One O’Clock Miracle, The Christmas Promise and Alby’s Amazing Book, I knew I was sure to hold in my hands a book which would both delight and deliver truth.

t5garden_medium3d.g7wvjnz5osg52qzrnorvrq67frvh6m4zThe Garden, the Curtain and the Cross is a beautiful hardback Bible storybook which takes children on a journey from the garden of Eden to God’s perfect new creation. It is a gospel presentation that focuses on the significance of the temple curtain. God said “because of your sin you can’t come in”, but the moment the curtain tore in two, everything changed for all people, for all of time.

The author, Carl Laferton, simply yet powerfully, explains the day Jesus died, what happened in the Temple and that he rose again so children can easily grasp the events.

Catalina Echeverri illustrates the story sweetly with expressive faces and bright colors which are sure to draw in young children.

This is an excellent book to enrich the Easter story for any child and family. Its presentation also makes a wonderful gift.

There is also a free coloring sheet and a word search puzzle which you can find HERE.

You can also listen to the illustrator read the book in this video:
