The Five Minute Friday prompt this week is … Truth. You can click at the bottom of this post to get to Kate Motaung’s site and read all that has been shared on this word.

Truth.

Truth can be defined as a fact that can not be disputed. It is a verified reality.

In these days we are living, news reports can make it difficult to distinguish the difference between truth and falsehood. We now have apps in place to check all facts and reports.

And yet- God’s truth prevails. God can not lie. The possibility does not even exist.

“The very essence of your words is truth; all your regulations will stand forever.”
(Psalm 119:160, NLT)

The greatness of God’s Word is that we can count on and rely on and depend on the truth before us. There is no error which can be found, no lie mixed in. Every word has been perfectly spoken and will never need to be explained or taken back.

I once read a quote which stated:

“The Bible is a rock of diamonds, a chain of pearls, the sword of the Spirit; a chart by which the Christian sails to eternity, the map by which he daily walks, the sundial by which he sets his life; the balance in which he weighs his actions.”
(Thomas Watson)

Every word contained between these two covers is truth and therefore, I can trust every word. God’s ways are founded in truth and as such, will keep my life firm in Him and stable, even on the most unstable of days.

“Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.” (Psalm 25:5, NLT)

God’s Word = Truth.
May it be the chart, the map, the sundial, and balance by which I live.

Today I am joining … Five Minute Friday and Faith On Fire and Faith Filled Friday and Faith ”˜N Friends and Fresh Market Friday .
