“He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him.”
(John 1:11, NLT)
“No room at the inn?
What kind of person compels a pregnant woman to have her firstborn child in a stable?
You cannot get more destitute than how Jesus started out, regardless of how bad your situation is. Jesus chose to live in the most deplorable conditions of human history. Your life cannot be rougher than His was. From the very beginning, He was rejected by those who should have loved Him most.
If they treated the Master this way, can you expect to face better? But take heart – the One who was born in lowliness has been raised to heights beyond our imagination. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords!
Prayer: Oh Jesus, You chose to lower Yourself in order to experience what even the most destitute person could experience. You understand all of us. You have been tempted in all things, but did not sin. Thank You, that I can relate to You, even though I am nothing before You, the great and holy Son of God. Thank You for loving me. Amen.”

Thanks for sharing this today.
You know what struck me in this…how often I am unwilling to “lower” myself to help others, to make time, to really listen when I am busy but others need to talk. Jesus did it so that I would, today, on December 17th, remember to do it as well. Blessings Joanne and thank you for this!
“Raised to heights beyond our imagination!” Highly exalted! As an ex farm girl, “from trough to throne” says it perfectly. Amen & Amen!
I am impacted fresh and new this season of all that the coming of my Savior, of His sacrifice for me, means.
