“Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act … Put your hope in the Lord. Travel steadily along his path. He will honor you …” (Psalm 37: 7, 34, NLT)

At the end of the day, in whom do you trust?

Sometimes you might find yourself putting your faith, hope, and trust in your local, state, or national leaders more than you do your God.

God wants you to be still in His presence. To put your faith and hope in Him, to wait for Him to act in your life. He wants you to keep walking steadily on the path He has placed before you.

Today while you are waiting patiently for government officials to make decisions and create change, remember that change begins with you, and it is ultimately God who in control over all.

Prayer: Jesus, You are the one in whom I put my ultimate faith, hope, and trust. For You are in control of all things – including those who make decisions. Give my leaders the grace and wisdom necessary to carry out their appointed calling.
