Consider the Christmas story. Everyone involved had a response:
“So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house & line of David. He went to register with Mary….”. (Luke 2: 4, 5 NIV).
“And she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in clothes & placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2: 7 NIV).
“The shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem & see this thing that has happened…When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning had had been told them about this child.” (Luke 2: 15, 17 NIV).
The Magi….“…they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down & worshiped him.” (Matthew 2:11 NIV).
Once encountering Jesus, they all had to make a choice on how they would respond. The same is true for us today –
How will we respond to Jesus this Christmas?
