Mother’s Day is coming. This morning I was reminded of an aspect of motherhood that I had just about all forgotten – the difficulty of fitting in time for Bible Study. Having taught Bible study for years while my kids were younger & in school, I knew then the effort it took for me to be in the Word & studying consistently. Then they were grown & it was so much easier as time was my own.
Now, being a Mimi, who watches Sophia full time, I was reminded of the effort & sacrifice that it takes for a mom to fit Bible reading & studying into her day. This is what it looked like this morning:
I often thought that Play-Do was a mother’s curse. How my opinion has changed as it gave me the time I needed to read the very words that would impart life for today today.
Today I was reminded of & prayed for all the young moms that I know. May God give them the desire to get in the Word & the creativity to achieve that in the midst of all the little voices that call to them.
