Today’s prompt is …. Season.
I sat down last night to make a graphic and the site kept crashing. My impatience grew with each failed attempt and there were many. It wasn’t pretty. Time passed, so did the night and the graphic was left as undone as I.
Waking I read the Scriptures for the Advent study I am doing. In three short verses (Jeremiah 33:14-16, NLT), Jeremiah makes mention of ‘time’ …
- “The day will come …”
- “In those days and at that time…”
- “In that day…”
I do the reading and look to see today’s word prompt – Season.
“T’is the season” or so we say.
The season of time. Or lack of time. In this season, I often feel I don’t have enough time or time is short or passing too quickly.
In this season, I often get swept up in the hustle and bustle of the season.
Yet, earlier this morning, God brought the reminder of how He patiently waited for the right time. For the day to come. For the season.
And gently He reminds me …
“Rest in Me and enjoy the season.”

This is lovely, Joanne – and so timely! I hope your issues resolve themselves with the graphic… in due time, right? I love reading Jeremiah – so powerful and poetic and thought-provoking. So convicting. I hope your season is peaceful and calm, and that you enjoy the birth of our Lord in a wonderful and light-filled way.
So, first off: Lovely graphic! Secondly – Amen and Amen, sister! REST… it’s so counter-cultural at any time of year, but it seems especially this time of year! Praying for pockets of peace and sabbath rest in the midst of all the hustle and bustle! Both are good… one is better! 😉
