I have been blessed to connect with other women through blogging. Their warmth, their love of Christ and their passion to write in a way to draw women closer to God in relationship is evident in each post that is written. And that is true of Barbie Swihart.
I have been given the pleasure of reviewing her first book, Coffee Talk With Jesus .
Imagine sitting at a table, a hot cup of coffee in front of you, and Jesus across the table. All He is desiring is a few minutes of your attention to have a short conversation that will bless you as you go on your day. He wants to encourage you, infuse you with hope, assure you of His great love for you. You will hear and receive exactly that as you read each page.
This is a thirty one day devotional and each day will include a message from Jesus to the reader, a reflection, Scripture and prayer.
The author includes the following topics: fears, freedom from labels, regrets, our worth, God’s love for us, freedom, rest, erecting walls, confidence, dealing with our failures, redemption and forgiveness. Each day the reader is invited to reflect upon their life and journal and then pray about that specific area.
Each page beckons the reader to return the next day with the promise of meeting with Jesus once more. A little more deeply with Him.
Barbie has also included recipes throughout the book that are sure to delight the reader. The reader will find recipes for specialty coffees, creamers and desserts to be enjoyed, hopefully, while on their journey with Jesus.
This is truly a book that will make a wonderful gift and bless many. The Kindle version is currently available on Amazon. A soft copy of the book will be available for purchase on Amazon December 2nd.
Barbie is giving away three copies of her book on her site …. My Freshly Brewed Life. Head on over. There you will be able to read how she “birthed” this book and what others are saying about this book. Visit her site and enter the giveaway! You will be so glad that you did. And you will have made a new friend as well!
**I received this book for free to review. However, I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own and were a joy to write.
Today I am joining …. Inspire Me Mon. and Mommy Mon. and Making Your Home Sing and First Friday Book Favs and Cozy Book Hop .
