I read this on prayer, written by G.K. Chesterton, a well know English author. It reminded me of my Gram, who prayed about everything. She was truly a woman of prayer, living each day dependent on prayer.
You say grace before meals.
All right.
But I say grace before the play and the opera,
And grace before the concert and pantomime,
And grace before I open a book,
And grace before sketching, painting,
Swimming, fencing, boxing, watching, playing, dancing;
And grace before I dip the pen in the ink.
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers & requests.” (Ephesians 6:18 NIV84).

Love this – God wants to be a part of everything with us. If only we let Him! Thank you for sharing this. I will be thinking about it throughout my day.
Prayer is always in order. They are no situations in which prayer should be excluded. If we remember this more often, we wouldn’t make such a mess of so many things. Blessings !
I should pray so much more often. Always, always. In my heart, but not consistent enough in my “hands”. Bless you. Thank you.
How true. That we would pray over the things our hands touch. That they would leave a lasting imprint – His. Thank you for stopping by & leaving a provoking thought for me. Blessings.
