This is a prayer of Susanna Wesley, the mother of John and Charles Wesley….
Help me, Lord, to remember that religion
…..is not to be confined to the church, or closet,
nor exercised only in prayer and meditation,
but that everywhere I am in thy presence. So may my every word and action have a moral content.
May all the happenings of my life prove useful to me.
May all things instruct me and afford me an opportunity
…..of exercising some virtue
…..and daily learning and growing toward thy likeness.Amen.
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” (Romans 12:2, The Message)

Joining you in this prayer today!
Our everyday, present-day world is a challenge for most of us. We love the Lord, but have a difficult time not being attached the side-tracked issues, the knee-jerk ones. I try, but am not perfect. HE IS, and that’s what I count on forever.
Thank you for the photo and the Word and the prayer,
Amen
