I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power. (Ephesians 1:18 NIV).

I have read this portion so many times and yet this week it hit me that my heart has a vision all of its own. The Message translation words it this way: “..your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do.”

It is only as we see with the eyes of our heart that we will see His truths clearly. It is with our heart vision that we will be able to discern exactly what it is that He has planned for us to do and is calling us to do.

My takeaway for the week & now written in the margin of my Bible:

I see clearest with the eyes of my heart.
