I want to stop by today to tell you this one truth – You. Are. Not. Perfect.
Perfection is a lie.
Can you feel the weights dropping off of you? The chains falling to the ground?
The truth is that there is not a single one – there are no perfect mothers. None.
We all make our fair share of mistakes. We all have bad days. We all have regrets. We all wish we had done “it” differently or better or more wisely.
But here is the truth that I do bring today –
Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8, NLT)
Love them well. Love them hard. Love them unconditionally. Love.
They probably will never remember that the house was clean, or dinner was always on the table for six o’clock, or the sheets were always clean, or you helped them with their school projects till the sun rose in the morning.
And should they remember those things, may they pale when they remember the depth to which you loved them.
