{{Today I am linked with Lisa Jo Baker for Five Minute Friday. Here is how it worksā¦. One word prompt. Five minutes. No editing. Lots of women. Equals a great time.}}
Today’s word …… Write.
I have always loved words. I loved reading them. I loved sharing them. I have found a deep joy in writing them. But when I saw today’s prompt, my thoughts went in a different direction.
There are words, however, that are far more important, carry much weight and those words are not my own.
“This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”
(Hebrews 10:16, NLT)
He, God Himself, is doing the writing. And He is writing His Word on my heart and mind. Words that will remain with me. Words that will transform me.
They give me life. They are my life.
The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life. (John 6:63, NLT)
He writes His Word on my heart.
And it is these very words that I am holding onto each day.

And imagine – our Creator who created the Universe with a WORD – is writing on our hearts. What a wonder! Thank you for this verse this morning. Janet
