Iām joining Kate Motaung for Five Minute Friday. One word prompt. Five minutes. No editing. Lots of women. All of us writing on that same word. For the month of October, I will incorporate the word prompts into my series, 31 Days Of Going In Circles.
Today’s word is ….
My children know they can come to about and for anything. The day I gave birth to them, my heart no longer belonged to me. My needs were no longer my first concern.
As my children have grown and married, I still care about them and for them. Deeply. And they know they can come to their dad and I with their needs.
“For the Lord God is our sun and shield.
He gives us grace and glory.
The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.
O Lord of Heaven’s Armies,
what joy for those who trust in you.
(Psalm 84:11-12, NLT)
We can come to our God with anything which is burdening our hearts, weighing heavy on our minds, or with a need. He is always ready to hear, willing to provide.
The enemy of our souls would have us to believe our God, our heavenly Father, would hold out on us. It was the same way he caused Eve to doubt – “Did God really say you must not eat from any tree in the garden?” (Genesis 3:1). Although God had provided everything they needed, the enemy posed the question so Eve would think God was withholding the fruit of the tree from them and caused her to doubt God.
May we remember to refute him and expose his lie with the truth of God’s promise –
The Lord will withhold no good thing from who do what is right.
Because He does care for us.
This is Day 10 of 31 Days Of Going In Circles. You can find the entire series here .
Today I am joining with … Five Minute Friday and Everyday Jesus and Friendship Fri. and Faith Filled Fri. and Fellowship Fri. and Faith & Fellowship and Blessing Counters and Equipping Godly Women .
Children have a way of changing your focus and your energy but teaching them well will allow us to set them free when it is time. I love how God also sets us free but He is never far and will always drop everything at a moment’s notice just for us! Happy Weekend!
Mary, I am so grateful that while He teaches us well, He is still always there each time we call to Him. He cares ever so deeply for us. Enjoy the long weekend!
Yes, God cares for us! Such a life-giving fact! Thank you! Visiting via FMF. Blessings!
Yes and we can trust in His care for us. So grateful you stopped!
I am always encouraged when I visit.
Have a great weekend!
And your visit encourages me, Michelle! Enjoy the long weekend!
Thanks for linking up with Susannah and I!!!
I am so very glad that God cares for us! Life on this earth holds a lot of pain, but it’s nothing compared to the treasure that we have in knowing Him!
Yes, and we can trust that His care for us is best.
Wonderful, Joanne. Simply wonderful. I really needed this reminder this morning since my tiny human was putting this “care” concept into force full swing. A bit clingy and up in my grill, but this helped me to change frustration to gratitude. Bless you.
It is amazing how those days they cling like crazy can try us. And yet, we can cling like crazy to God when we have needs. So glad this reminder helped us both š
Kids do require an awful lot of care–but they are so worth it. So glad that God doesn’t get tired of caring for us as well. Thanks for sharing on Equipping Godly Women Fellowship Fridays!
As Sharita pointed out in the above comment, some days can be so trying with our children. And yes!!! they truly are worth it. Nothing like a reminder to put it all into perspective š So glad to join you!
<3 It's truly beautiful how much God cares for us! Thanks for linking this up with the faith and fellowship blog hop! š
He continually amazes me with His care. Glad to link with you & your readers!
