“We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life. This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then he was revealed to us.”
(1 John 1:1,2, NLT)
May we cling to Him and keep His truths close in our hearts ….
May the words of my mouth, Father, and the meditations of my heart be found acceptable in your sight, my Strength and my Redeemer. Keep me gripping tightly to your truth, keep me digging in expectation for the mighty revelation of your witness. Forgive me when I settle for less – for the lies that camouflage as truth and proffer destruction rather than promise. In your cross, I anchor my hope and my sleep as well. Even so, breathe on me, breath of God, and carry me through this day. Amen.
