Father, You alone are the God who can make me fruitful in the land of my affliction. Where I’ve let hopelessness settle in, Father, make hope arise. Where I’ve let bitterness take root, Lord Jesus, replace it with joy. Where I’ve let hardness mark my heart, God Almighty, breathe new life. In Christ, Your mighty Spirit lives within me. Make me fruitful even now, even here, in the land of my affliction. Amen.(from “Fruitful Affliction” by Lara Williams, page 101)
In the name of JESUS— Amen and so be it! Happy Sunday and many blessings, Love! 🙂
This is a beautiful prayer and picture sweet friend!!! I hope your day is a fruitful and joyful blessing!! ~♡~♡~♡~♡~ Happy Sunday!
I’ll join you in that prayer, Joanne! Hope you have a blessed Lord’s Day.
I found great encouragement from the Lara Williams quote you shared. I read it over and over again.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you. AND I’m a “fruitful” person, going around the world with my heart/mind, and focusing on the Lord. YES, I’m in my area of our nation, of course, but my brain and mind are around the world very often, to focus on when and who the Lord will be broken into hearts that have been serving and worshiping other gods. In my heart very strongly!! When I’m in heaven I hope I’ll sure be able to look down around our world and pray for them. Bless you..
Joanne, I think one day when we stand before Him, we are going to find that some of our greatest “work” was done right in our own home, praying for others. And those prayers will bear much fruit for His Kingdom. You have no idea how you humble me. Bless you!
A beautiful prayer worth repetition.
