“From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.” (Genesis 12: 8, NIV)
Worship is giving back to God the best that He has given you … That is why we must “pitch our tents” where we will always have quiet times with Him. (from My Utmost For His Highest by Oswald Chambers)
Today I am joining … Give Me Grace and Word of God Speak and Spiritual Sundays and Scripture & A Snapshot .
Powerful and beautiful truth, Joanne! Thank you for sharing and GOD bless you, beautiful friend! š
P.S.- Love the new site!
Thank you, Tai! I so appreciate you. Have a great rest of the week!
Hi Joanne! Your new space is beautiful. As a dance teacher, I’ve incorporated movements from yoga and Pilates into my warm up. In on e series we use our bodies like an upside down V. What most people call downward facing dog I call, pitching your tent and I use the prayer of Jabez to talk about stretching their legs and arms (enlarge my territory). WhenI teach this week I will reference your scripture an highlight the thoughts you’ve shared here. Blessings!
I am so glad you shared, Lisha. I love that you incorporate the prayer of Jabez & enlarging our territory into this warmup. Great visual!
Thanks for the reminder to choose carefully where I “pitch my tent”!
Your comment brought to mind what realtors always say … “Location, location, location”. So true š
This is perfect. May we always consciously choose to do so.
Yes, and I would add … may our pegs go down deep!
Joanne,
I love this – pitch our tents. Yes we need to pitch them every day as soon as we get up and remain in them throughout the day – otherwise we will be sure to say or do something that is not of Him. So easy to do.
Thanks for linking to Word of God Speak.
Blessings,
Janis
It surely is, Janis! Only as we remain in Him will we walk in His ways. Grateful to link with you each week!
