We are living in a time when truth is becoming more difficult to define. Often opinions are conveyed as truths that will lead us astray. “Truth has a Name”, writes Lisa Bevere in her latest book, Adamant: Finding Truth in a Universe of Opinions .
“When truth becomes fluid, we lose contact with answers larger than ourselves.
Real truth is a rock. Adamant. Indivisible. Immovable. Invincible.
Jesus is truth. And I propose that Jesus is the Adamant.”

The author brings us back to the unchanging truth found in Christ and in His Word. She brings the powerful reminder:
“Our Cornerstone is not a buried remnant of the past. Jesus is not a dead stone mined from the depths of the molten earth. Christ is the living Stone and as such the architect of our new beginning. He is an unchanging Stone with the power to change us.”

Each chapter brings a challenge to various aspects of our lives:
- “In him, we do not become less ourselves; rather, we become more of who he created us to be.”
- “Knowing God well should always translate into loving others well.”
- “When we do not hate what is evil, our love is not genuine.”
- Abiding in God’s Word increases our depth and capacity to truly love.”
- “God is in the process of rolling away the stones that have impeded your complete resurrection.”
The book is written in a deep yet understandable manner, calling us back to the foundational truths that will become an anchor for our souls in this turbulent world we live.
“Lift your life and honor the Stone from which you were hewn. Live in wonder of the immovable, invincible, impervious, adamant Cornerstone who longs to astound you with his loving faithfulness. Be true to him in this universe of opinions, for you are marked for the eternal realm.”

“This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.” (Hebrews 6:19, NLT)
