“He will listen to the prayers of the destitute. He will not reject their pleas.”
(Psalm 102:17, NLT)
Endurance in trials comes not from immediate alleviation of your circumstances but the expectation that you will see the character of the One who holds you fast; that you will see His mercy and favor, His glory – beheld by all the nations of the earth; that you will witness those things in your own life as you entrust your life to His care.
Whether you feel destitute – of inspiration, willpower, love, physical strength, holiness – He hears you. He doesn’t despise you in your weakness but draws near to you, for nothing can separate you from His love. Keep holding on – He will give you strength in the prayer-filled wait for restoration.
Prayer: Father, when I feel I have little to offer, thank You that You always hear my prayer!

Today I am joining … Open Sunday Thoughts and Spiritual Sundays and Scripture & a Snapshot .
Daily I am thankful for this. He never leaves my side. Even when I do not acknowledge him or even remember he is there. This completely amazes me.
I so agree – it is completely amazing that even when we do not acknowledge Him, He is still faithful to us.
“He doesn’t despise you in your weakness but draws near to you, for nothing can separate you from His love.” I often tell others this when I counsel with them, but I need to embrace this truth for myself!
It is amazing how we believe this to be true for others, yet neglect embracing this truth for ourselves. May we be intentional and hold onto this truth all week.
Such wonderful truth!
