“Trusting in the Lord with all your heart is the only right way to live. So what does that kind of passionate faith look like? It turns your wringing hands into praising hands – not because you naturally rise every morning feeling perky and carefree, but because deep down you choose to believe worry is worthless and praise is priceless.
If you trust in God, He will indeed work all things for your good (see Romans 8:28). You can count on it. That kind of trust – which is so very counter to what the world preaches – releases you from a life without hope. And it gives you the freedom to know joy – even amid earthly sorrows.
Prayer: Lord, please lift my head from the mire of my worries to a greater faith in You. Amen.

Today I am joining … Spiritual Sundays and Scripture & a Snapshot and Selah .
This verse has been singing in my own thoughts as the year comes to an end. We so need his direction!
Michele, I so agree. We know this verse and quote it often. As the year is coming to a close and a new one quickly approaching, I realized how often we rely on our own understanding, and our knowledge, instead of seeking His will and direction. May we seek and follow Him all of our days as His path is always for our good and best.
We never know what a new year may bring, but we know we can trust God through it. He has proved Himself over and over in my life. I wish that means I never worry, but I admittedly fall prey to that feeling sometimes. As you said, worry is worthless and praise is priceless! Proverbs 3:5-6 is my husbands favorite passage of Scripture.
Julie, I fall prey to the feeling of worry myself. Perhaps even today 🙂 Praying for a year that holds less worry and more trust!
It’s easy to say we trust God, but sometimes a challenge to live that out. I need to remind myself that I have put my trust in him and that He will keep his promises and He is in control.
Kym, you have hit on something I have been thinking on lately. God is faithful to keep His promises. He is not like man and it is impossible for Him to lie or go back on His word. Blessings on the new year!
