Today is Veterans’ Day.
“Almighty God, we commend you for your gracious care and keeping all the men and women of our armed forces at home and abroad. Defend them by day with your heavenly grace; strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”

I always think of my dad on Veterans’ Day. He was in the Army in WWII. Thank you for the good reminder. Heading over to read the rest of the post.
I am not sure what it is but WWII veterans always move me to tears. May I never forget the sacrifice made by those who serve and their families.
