Psalm 23 may be the most well known psalm and yet still fell fresh upon reading these words:
“The Lord is my shepherd;
I have all that I need.
He let me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams.
He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
bringing honor to his name.â€
(verses 1-3, NLT)
The writer, David, was familiar with the ways of a shepherd as he had not forgotten his days of shepherding.
David knew sheep needed:
green meadows so they could rest without being scared,
long and refreshing drinks, and
a sense of direction.
And as sheep, we need the same today.
I hope you will join me today at Woman to Woman HERE as we look at the rest, refreshment, and direction our Shepherd brings to our lives.

Today I am joining … Inspire Me Monday and Global Blogging .
I just finished a study of Psalm 23 from The Daily Grace Co. It was fantastic. Can’t wait to read what you have at W2W!
You are always a blessing, Rebecca!
I had a youth director once that always talked about how dumb sheep really are–and the irony that while we like to think of ourselves as smart people, Jesus kept calling us sheep ;).
I love Psalm 23, a reminder that even when we feel lost God knows what is best for us. Thanks for linking up with #globalblogging
