“He went out, not knowing where he was going.” (Hebrews 11:8)
Have you ever “gone out” in this way? If so, there is no logical answer possible when anyone asks you where you are going.
The only thing you know is that God knows what He is doing. Continually examine your attitude toward God to see if you are willing to “go out” in every area of your life, trusting in God entirely. It is this attitude that keeps you in constant wonder, because you don’t know what God is going to do next. Each morning as you wake, there is a new opportunity …. “

Thank you for these words from Chambers, reminding me of the PRIVILEGE of following–even into the unknown.
Yes, grateful for the word you chose – privilege.
I needed these words from Oswald Chambers this morning!
Trusting….thankful for each morning and the opportunities God affords. 🙂
I’ll tell you how I’ve managed
going into the unknown;
my faith’s been sorely challenged
by the way a tumour’s grown.
I asked God to give me healing
but how was I to ever ken
that which He would be revealing
to this Asian Man of Zen?
He said that my long-sought satori
would be mine amid pain’s thorns
and that He’s so very sorry,
but through hard death I’d be reborn
and that beyond the night of doom
I, too, would leave an empty tomb.
Andrew, you will for sure be leaving an empty tomb one day. Life’s events can affect our faith and our faith can, if we allow it, affect the way in which we interpret and respond to those events. I am grateful you have shared your journey with so many of us and helped us to learn we can trust God and maintain wonder. Not easy, but doable in and through Him. Praying for you this morning.
