Mama Kisses, Papa Hugs is a delightful children’s book written by Lisa Tawn Bergren and illustrated by Aleksandar Zolotic.

Children love a bedtime story and this is a wonderful story which will bring comfort, peace, and rest to children. The book tells the story of a mama and papa’s love for their child, while addressing a question often asked by children:

“Mama, how does God kiss us?”

The answer is found in replies that highlight the evidence of God’s love which is found all around us every day. Mama replies with things like shooting stars, gentle breezes, and sunlight on the fields. Papa shares thoughts on the joy of singing with others, the help of friends, and snow blanketing the quiet.

The illustrations are as delightful and winsome as the story. They bring to life the story of a bedtime conversation between a parent and a little boy which children can relate.

As the story comes to a close, every little one will come to the same conclusion …

“Later that night, the boy thought about how good it felt to be loved so much by his parents … and how much more God loved him still.”

This is a hard cover book making it a wonderful book to give as a gift for a birthday or baby shower. The story is sweet and comforting, sure to become most loved and endeared.
