Every Friday I join a community of bloggers for Five Minute Friday. One word prompt, five minutes. The prompt this week is … Born.

From the time we are born, we are constantly growing and changing. The changes occur physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2, NLT)

Solomon brings the reminder that everything, and everyone, has their own season. Solomon, the man known for his wisdom, speaks to my heart this morning the words I need at this time:

While I had no control over when I would be born, nor have control over the day I will die, there is one day I do have control over – Today.

I can choose to live responsibly and wisely today, in the midst of whatever should occur.

God is the One at work in our lives, accomplishing His will and purposes in our lives, in our country, and in our world. He has not lost control, and I hold onto the hope that He will make “everything beautiful in its time” (verse 11).

Today I will hold onto hope. Hope that these days we are in, are for a season. Even the most difficult of days, even when times are shifting, even when the future seems uncertain, I will hold onto the truth that God is sovereign.

My days are in His hands and He has ordained that I be alive this day.
May I remember He is my loving Father who does all things well and
He will make everything beautiful in its time.

Today I am joining … Five Minute Friday and Faith On Fire and Grace & Truth .
