It is hard to believe that today we will take a look at the fifteenth and final psalm of ascents ”“ Psalm 134. Here we find a psalm that is a call to worship.
“Oh, praise the Lord all you servants of the Lord, you who serve at night in the house of the Lord.” (verse 1, NLT)
This is our call ”“ praise the Lord. All of us are to praise the Lord and remember what He has done. Praise is to occur both day and night, it is a continual act or posture of our hearts.
“Lift up holy hands in prayer, and praise the Lord.” (verse 2, NLT)
This was a common and humble gesture, one of surrender to God. It focuses the heart to look upward, and not inward and relying on self.
Why are we called to worship? Can it be that it is for our very own benefit? I hope you will join me at Woman to Woman Ministries HERE as we look at the remainder of this final Psalm of Ascent.
