Prayer. It is a part of our lives as believers. As much as it is written about, there remains much to yet be learned. Recently, “The Path of Prayer” by Samuel Chadwick came across my path. For the next several weeks, let’s visit the book and see what can be gleaned and applied to our lives.

We pray to God, acknowledging He is our Father. Much the way our children come to us, their parents, with their wants and needs, we are encouraged to come to God.

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!”
(Matthew 7:11, NASB)

“Prayer is possible and reasonable because it is filial. It is natural for a child to ask of its father, and it is reasonable for the father to listen to the request of his child.”

(from The Path of Prayer by Samuel Chadwick, page 1)

We pray to our Father, making known our needs to Him, acknowledging that He alone is able to undertake in provision and changing of our circumstances. As God responds to our prayers and we give testimony to His response, others come to see the hand of God at work in the lives of His children.

I hope you will join me at Woman to Woman Ministries HERE as we continue to look at the very heart of prayer.
