May these Scriptures from last week encourage and bless ….

(Job 23:12)

~*~*~

There was much to be praying for – the tragedy in Florida, the heat and humidity which is so dangerous for many, and the  everyday challenges.

In Numbers 13:33, we read these simple words: “There we saw the giants.”

It was true they did see the “giant”s as they scoped out the land God had promised to His people. But it wasn’t ALL they saw as there was also much goodness right before their eyes.

“Giants represent great difficulties, and they stalk us everywhere.”
(from Streams in the Desert)

I read those words and then turned on a CD, and the lyrics filled my ears … “Right now I’m staring down a giant …”

We may be staring down a giant of our own. Our giants may come in different ways, sizes, and stress. But one thing remains true for them all – our God can defeat every one!

“Your name is greater
Your love is stronger
Your ways are higher
There’s nothing that You can’t do
‘Cause there’s no impossible with You.”

(Lyrics from the song, “No Impossible With You”)

Be blessed and keep believing and trusting Him!

In reading Luke 1,  I found these two beauties to share:

  • His words … will come true at their proper time. (Luke 1:20,NASB)
  • What the Lord has said … will be accomplished. (Luke 1:45, NASB)

What promise are you holding onto today?

“When you walk, your steps will not be impeded; And if you run, you will not stumble.” (Proverbs 4:12, NASB)

I found the use of the word “impeded” curious, so I looked it up in the dictionary: It means to slow movement or progress by means of obstacles or hindrances.

This definition shed new light for me, and hopefully for you as well.

When we walk with God, our progress will not be hindered. The enemy does not possess that power over our lives.

Perhaps your life is not where you would like it to be. However, you keep on walking, keep progressing forward. Your steps will not be impeded; you will not stumble.

God continues to call us onward and upward. We progress as we trust in Him.
