“O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your dwelling places.” (Psalm 43:3, NASB)
We are in such need of light and truth these days. But it needs to be His light, His truth.
Think about the last time you lied, or perhaps a lie was told about you.
When I was raising our children, I often told them I didn’t care what it was they had done, I only needed for them to always be truthful.
Trust is broken, severed, when one has not spoken the truth. The wounds left take time to heal and trust must be earned.
God has a way of surfacing lies, revealing to us the truths we need to know.
Much the way the light penetrates the darkness and reveals all that is in the shadows, God’s light and truth can disperse the darkness in our lives.

Yes! Truth and light is my constant prayer.
It’s so hard when someone tells a lie about us. I’ve recently experienced that. It hurt deep in my soul. But I know in my heart that it wasn’t true, and I know God knows that too.
Lisa, I am so sorry as that is a deep hurt for sure. I’m praying the Lord not only brings healing to your heart but also reveals the truth to the other person.
