Lately I have been thinking about the Holy Spirit.
Christ, in talking with His disciples, promises them they will never be alone. He also promises they will have the Spirit of truth indwell them. Christ explains further:Â that the Holy Spirit will teach them all things and will remind them of everything that He has said to them. (John 14:15-26). This unique group of men appreciated all they were being told and promised.
Life remained hard for this band of Christ’s followers. They faced persecution. All, except John, met the death of a martyr. John was sent to exile and tortured. He must have questioned why he was left to live without any of those men that were closest to him.
Yet every one remained believers in Christ, fulfilling the purposes to which they were called.
Let’s fast forward in time …
There are times we each feel the world is against us, that we have been forgotten. We may feel on our own. Alone.
There are times that our spirits feel wounded and broken. We’re humbled. Sometimes we are just glad to have made it through yet another day.
It is days like this when we need to remind ourselves we have everything we need right inside of us. The very same promise Christ gave His disciples has been given to us.
“ … having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of the promise, who is a first installment of our inheritance, in regard to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.” (Ephesians 1:13b-14, NASB)
Won’t you join me at Woman to Woman Ministries HERE where we will discuss the person of the Holy Spirit and all we benefit from His Presence in our lives.

In Christ we have ALL that we NEED. When we stand on that promise, our outlook improves & healing can begin.
So true Joanne. The Holy Spirit has been on my mind a lot lately too. What great reminders and encouragement within.

Yes, the Holy Spirit and the knowledge that Jesus intercedes for us is a great comfort! Despite what is going on around us, we are being guided and cared for.
Amen Ms. Joanne. What happens in me is far more important than what might happen to me. Thank you for your encouraging word today ma’am. I needed that.
