The Lord God has given Me the tongue of disciples, That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple.” (Isaiah 50:4, NASB)

“A wealthy Christian speaks out of the abundance of grace in his life. Waking morning by morning to be taught in God’s Word, he amasses spiritual riches on which to draw. Instead of ekeing out a hand-to-mouth existence on special dispensations of grace, he is laying up over the years a permanent overplus, out of which to bring forth things new and old. From such experience he can, of need be, speak the mind of the Spirit without the overweening consciousness of being God’s immediate oracle.”
